An Epic Battle for First Place

An Epic battle was waged at Johnny Roberts for Round 10.  A battle where just a few strokes more and the BAM Cup members would see their first 1000 rated round.  That right a 1000 rated round at Johnny Roberts is -13 and Matt B. shot -9.  Some thought -6 would be enough but not on this weekend. If you shot -6 you would have ended up in 4th place.  An incredible round of Disc Golf, with the lowest score was Par.  It is hard to believe that to be even in the top 3 you would need to have been -7 for the day.  Our rookie Doug took his first tag and Nathan finishing with par would have been -5 except for just a few mistakes.  David said it best this was a round mistakes, the fewest would take it.  One double boggie for Dave put him back in 4th even though he finished -4.  Brad B. was given the sportsman of the century award by the GCSLC (Galactic Commission for Sportsman Like Conduct) as Brad went and purchased a replacement putter for for Mike in a gesture of pure kindness.   In an interview Brad choked back tears and said “I just wanted Mike to be at his best.  I thought for sure Mike would return the gesture by bringing back my prized putter but he forgot”.  Some have tagged Mike as the Bill Belichick of disc golf.  Mike beat Brad by one stroke and we have ask ourselves is there an asterisk next to the 2nd place finish?  Only time will tell for certain as this Back To the Future Round makes history.
